Don’t Want McCain? Blame the Evangelicals

Ed Morrissey has a nice write-up and commentary on a Dan Gilgoff article about how evangelicals (not individually, but the evangelical movement in general) are to blame for McCain being the Republican nominee this year.
I certainly don’t know everything there is about politics but I honestly feel that Mitt Romney was the best that the Republicans had to offer this year. My prediction is that the Republicans will get crushed in November, thus opening the door for a Romney run in 2012. We’ll see … eventually.

I personally don’t believe in any movement. I think the seculars have continually blasted away at the Lord in general that when they can point to somebody that is not Christ-like ,it gives them ammunition to use. To them it makes no difference what particular denomination or group it might be ,just being for God is enough to condemn. Of course, the reason they feel that way is b/c it gives them justication to be the sinners they want to be. With candidates of conscience out of the way, then the seculars have free reign. That also means the country is turning it’s back on the Lord . I shutter to think what He’s going to do to the country after being with us for over 250 years. I agree with you that Mitt was the best by far.Hopefully he will make a run later but I also believe that Obama will win this election this time and he will woo the country to more socialism. It will be hard to go back to sanity when socialized medicine is implimented. That’s why they’ve been pushing the idea so long.
