Also, if combatant was captured on the battle field then I don’t care if they pull out their fingernails if we know they have information that would save american lives. Call me what you will but I’ve been around the world more than once in my life and the people we are dealing with don’t play by anyone elses rules ie. cutting off heads. Waterboarding is a non-issue and the longer they stay in Gitmo, the better for us and the rest of the world.
Also, most lawyers live in a cocoon. They haven’t a real clue.Most of them are like vultures sitting in a tree waiting to prey on somebody elses misery so they can make a fortune on them, then say they’re doing what they do for you , the poor people or the oppressed. I guess it makes them feel good about themselves if they can justify their actions and not feel guilty.
