The Good News and the Bad …

March 2, 2009

So, here’s the good news.  My class finally got around to grading the three exams that we had thusfar taken in our Economics class.  The total points available on the first exam was 117, one which I got 91.  I got 210 of a possible 256 points on the second exam.  The third one had a possible amount of 128, whereas I got 100.

Now we get on to the cool part.  My 91 points was the class high score, which means that my 91 points is actually equal to 100%.  I also got the high with my 210 on the second exam.  That also means that I got 100%.  I didn’t get the high score on the third exam, however, as somebody else got 110 to my 100.  That’s a total of 401 out of 411, which is about 97%.  I was stoked.

Then I got the bad news, which is that the results of those three exams are only worth 10% of total for the class.  So, while I, to this point have 97%, it’s only guaranteed that this will get me 9.7%.

Suck.
