Vacation
August 29, 2010
Melanie and I are finally going to go on a vacation all by ourselves. We have purchased tickets to fly to San Diego at the end of September for a four day trip. We are going to be staying at the Marriott Gaslamp Quarter, and are pretty excited.
Midnight madness

When Josh was having his face fixed last month I asked my friend Alisha for a book recomendation. She said that Twilight was a fast and easy read. I thanked her then called Holly to see if I could borrow the book. She gave me the first three and I was off to the hospital. Now anyone who knows me can testify to this. I can’t stop reading once I start. I finished the first three over the weekend, got the fourth one from Holly and finished it that day. These were not my favorite books, but they were a fun read and I finally understood all the talk. I returned the books to Holly and she told me how her friend had rented out an entire theatre and still had some tickets for the midnight show. I thought what the heck, a girls night out, it will be fun. Well, I was so right! The theatres were sold out and they had 20 screens! For the midnight showing alone the theatre spent 20 thousand dollars on popcorn, candy, and soda. Holy cow!
The movie left a lot to be desired for me, but it was fun to be out that late with good friends. Anything can be made amazing when you win free stuff. Yup, I won that awesome twilight poster. Pretty sweet! Thanks girls for the amazing night amidst the teenage frenzy.
Now if I could just get my ears to stop ringing.
Who kids?

Tonight a couple gal pals and myself ventured to the E center to relive NKOTB. The tickets, as josh said, were free so why not. We were jammin out with Natasha Bettingfield when we noticed that David Archuleta was right in front of us! Of course the cameras came out but we didn’t want to bother him while he was obviously enjoying Natasha. (Those AI viewers may remember she was on the show with him last season.) We were so excited! After Natasha finished he got up and left. That’s okay we still got to watch the New Kids do their stuff. After the second encore we decided to leave and beat most of the traffic. We got in the car and noticed David Archuleta right next to us. We screamed we love you, we voted for you every week, can we have your autograph, can we get a picture of you? In his sweet voice and with a shrug he said yeah!!!!!!!!!!! Now my NKOTB ticket is autographed by David and I have a picture with him. That was the high light of the night. I will post the picture and scan in his autograph at a later date. That was so much better than meeting Bob Shaw! This night will be remembered forever as the night David used my pen.
